We thoroughly enjoyed the company of this year's Gala attendees on November 5th at the Fairmont Copley Plaza! Whether you attended in-person, bid remotely, or donated something for our auction, it was inspiring to witness this incredible community support our transformative programs for Boston's youth. We are excited to share that our Evening Expedition Gala has raised over $550,000 (and counting)!
Thank you in particular to our inspiring speakers, who included our Green Ambassadors; Darlene Marcano, the Head of School at Dearborn STEM Academy; Cliff Krauss, Chair of the Board of Trustees — and, of course, Sylvia Watts McKinney, our president and CEO.

If you attended in person, you heard more about the magic of the Cathleen Stone Island Outward Bound School and the importance of preserving it for future generations.
By supporting the Gala, you helped provide thousands of students with the opportunity to visit Boston’s Island Classroom each year. We couldn’t do this without your support! Thank you again for your generosity. We hope to see you all again!

For those who were unable to attend, we're excited to share the mission video that we premiered last night. The students really bring our message to life!

The North Star Award is our opportunity to recognize extraordinary service and philanthropic efforts on behalf of Cathleen Stone Island Outward Bound School and the community we serve. Named for the star that has guided mariners across oceans for centuries, this award represents the guiding light of strength, integrity, and leadership, and its recipients embody and model these characteristics for all to benefit from.
We are thrilled to honor PwC this year for their long-standing commitment to CSIOBS through corporate sponsorship, Board and Committee leadership, volunteerism and grantors. PwC's support has ensured that we continue to offer hands-on science lessons and incorporate Outward Bound's best approach to social-emotional learning, leadership, compassion, and service for our Boston Public School students.
