At Cathleen Stone Island Outward Bound, we believe every child can discover the freedom of possibility. Playing a crucial role in closing the achievement and opportunity gaps facing Boston's underserved middle schoolers, our multi-year programs move young people from the mindset of “I can’t” and “I’m not” to “I can” and "I will."
In 2019, 1,500+ students boarded the Cathleen Stone Island Outward Bound ferry to our 204-acre island classroom to discover all they are and all they can become through hands-on STEM, outdoor adventure, and Outward Bound’s unique approach to character development, compassion, and service.
